3 Habits That Cause Wrinkles

Do you know someone in your family who has wrinkles on her skin? Are you also experiencing this but have no clue about it? Wrinkles are a part of the human being’s aging process, which we cannot defame. But, there are some causes of reasons in younger people. If you see someone who has wrinkles on their skin, don’t try to make fun of them or give them inappropriate advice. This would shatter their confidence and make them feel bad about it. If wrinkles are your leading cause of concern these days, it must be because you are getting them before age. Clearly, there must be a reason behind it that you can identify and try to eliminate from your life. Some of the everyday habits that lead to causing wrinkles are:

1. The sun and the ultraviolet exposure.

Do you want to know why people are so concerned about not going out in the sun these days? Why do we see people, even children using sunscreen nowadays? It is because the sun and the UV light are causing damage to the skin. Sun damage is equal to ultraviolet exposure, including tanning beds, increasing our skin damage. Tanning beds use UV bulbs, and they are known to be dangerous to our skin. Frequent tanning, sunburns, and lack of protection against the sun is definitely the leading cause of the skin damage that we see in people every day. All these rays combined damages the skin, so it can also cause us skin cancer in the future.

2. Unhealthy Diet

A healthy and maintained diet is the key to having healthy-looking, wrinkle-free skin. People who eat excessive amounts of meat, dairy products, sugar, and alcohol are prone to skin damage. The unhealthy diet that a person intake messes with the proper functioning of the skin cells affect how they look. So, people who habitually have an overdose of alcohol, fizzy drinks, and fast foods will have more formidable-looking skin at their early age. In contrast, people who eat vegetables, fruits, olive oil, and fish have younger and fresh-looking skin. This is why we see the people who live in villages having clearer skin than those who live in cities. Our diet intake is the most fundamental part of our healthy existence.

3. Sleeping Positions

The way we sleep is also one of the determinants of how younger our skin can look. People who sleep on their side constantly, each night, will cause creases to their skin. These creases will then combine to form wrinkles on the skin, no matter our age. Basically, the wrong sleeping positions force external pressure on one side of our face instead of an internal change in the skin’s texture. One of the reasons why people don’t change their sleeping positions is due to having an uncomfortable pillowcase. It is suggested to use only silk cover cases on your pillows to allow friction on your face. This will also increase your chances of having smooth, wrinkle-free skin.
