Anxiety Disorders

Is there anything that makes you worry? It is totally normal to worry about things that could either be a job interview, school test, fight in a relation, race competition or anything like that. But if everything keeps you worrying all the time then you might be going through some anxiety disorders as one cannot feel stressed all the time normally.

People usually suffer from anxiety disorders at the age of 18 or above making them filled with fear and anxiety. If a person feels way too stressed for over a period of six months then he needs to get treated as it may get worse. As it becomes difficult for the person to control his anxiety. These disorders may come up with some mental or physical illness that may include drug or alcohol abuse which sometimes masks the anxiety symptoms and other times worsen it. All the anxiety disorders have different symptoms but all of them exclusively include fear and dread.

It is an adverse form of anxiety which results from separation from home or someone who is very dear to you. The symptoms appear from the continuous fear of losing someone or getting separated from your loved ones. The symptoms usually include stomachaches, nausea, headache, or chest pain.

Social Anxiety or Phobia

It results from extreme fears of socially interacting with someone or meeting with people. People with such kind of illness stay under extreme stress and fear of being watched and judged for whatever they do in front of people. They feel embarrassed and fearing all the time which may worsen the situation and hesitate to take part in any activity.

Selective Mutism

It is a fear of speaking in social gatherings where speech might be a compulsory thing. According to a research, there is a connection between social anxiety and selective mutism. A person who fears from gatherings may not be able to speak to them.

OCD

It is a disorder where a person may have unwanted ideas or obsessions and an urge to get relieved from their discomfort. Such a person feels distressed all the time and may develop harmful habits too which are difficult to overcome.

PSD

It is rather a terrifying condition that may follow a mishap or a tragedy. The person may start feeling frightened from the ones he used to be very close with. The signs and symptoms of such disorders occur within 3 months of that tragic event.

Panic Disorder

It has brief intervals of intense fear and the symptoms may include physical events such as heart palpitations, nausea, chest pain etc. that may occur repeatedly over the time. The cause may be unknown in such a case.

Agoraphobia

Such a person has a fear of open spaces and public places. He may suffer from extreme anxiety because of his fear of crowds. He might end himself enclosed in the house.

General anxiety disorder

It is the most common form of anxiety disorders where a person has diffused feelings about multiple events of life. it may occur over a period of six months.

Specific Phobia

It is an intense fear of particular things such as heights, water, closed-in-spaces, spiders etc.

All these anxiety disorders are curable so you must look for a doctor as soon as you find any one of them. Don’t let these disorders occupy you and leave you in a bad health.
