People with Alzheimer’s create false beliefs and get delusional, do not try to scold and argue with them because it will not help. Give them valid points in a comforting manner so they believe you.

There are certain medicines for Alzheimer’s patients to help them slow down the symptoms and feel a little better, like sleep aids, anti-anxiety drugs, antipsychotics. These are used to make the person sleep easily, feel less frustrated, control hallucinations and anxiety. However, these medicines should not be used regularly as they can make the person feel more confused and they can collapse.

Other medications are used for treating memory, thinking, language and other thought processes. They are also used to make the person perform simple tasks and help them with their language and attention. They are approved to Alzheimer’s patients to help them with their disease.
